Each year the Children's Research Fund welcomes recognized leaders in the business and philanthropic community to oversee the annual fundraising campaign and Children's Ball. Since 1951, these efforts have raised nearly $130 million to support innovative pediatric medical research.
This year, the Children’s Research Fund is thrilled to welcome Jennifer Beeson, Gerald Beeson, Jenni Sorenson, and John Holmes as the 2025 Campaign and Children's Ball Co-Chairs.
Jennifer and Gerald Beeson have been dedicated supporters of Lurie Children’s for many years. Gerald serves as Chief Operating Officer at Citadel and sits on several boards, including DePaul University, where he earned his undergraduate degree before receiving his MBA from the University of Chicago. Jennifer is a former educator with a deep passion for children's education and philanthropy. Together, they have generously supported many institutions across Chicago.
Jenni Sorenson and John Holmes are also longtime supporters of Lurie Children’s. John is the Chairman, President, and CEO of AAR and has served as a member of Lurie Children’s Foundation Board since 2018. Both Jenni and John are active members of the Chicago community and are committed to creating healthier futures for all children.
Jennifer, Gerald, John, and Jenni exemplify the spirit of the Children’s Ball through their leadership and generosity, and we are honored to have them at the helm of the 2025 event.
